On a coast guard inspection of a commercial passenger vessel, I was required to replace nylon zip-ties that held overhead wires in the machinery space. They specified metal hangers so that in case of fire, the metal wires wouldn’t fall. Stainless zip-ties cost more than a dollar each, and the boat had hundreds.
